My gift for mom: Memories

My mom lives in England with my sister, and rarely gets to see me or my children, if not in pictures.
This is why I thought it would be nice if I could create something for her that contained as many pictures of her children and grandchildren as possible, but at the same time, was portable enough to always bring with her, wherever she goes.
I was so glad when the swatch book format came out, because it really tickled my imagination, and among all the other projects, it gave me the opportunity to create something unique for my mom.Italian. I  desire her to realize that even if we are far away, she is very blessed to have so many grandchildren.
I was hoping to be able to see her in my last trip to  Italy, and see her reaction when I would hand her the gift, but unfortunately she wasn't able to come, so I had to bring the swatchbook back, and just send it to her together with a nice card.
I loved the fact that I could just put the swatchbook inside the card, and send it in a normal envelope (saving me a good bunch in shipping^_^). Also, she will not expect to find a real gift in it!

I can't wait for her to receive it, and know about her reaction. I really hope this will bring a great smile to her face, and will let her know how much we all love her and miss her.

How about you? How are you going to tell your mom that you love her this mother's day? And how about any other day?

Christmas memories at hand

Ok, I know I am a little late for this, but I have been sick the whole holidays, so I am behind for a lot of things, but I thought this could be giving inspiration to some of you out there...
I put together a swatchbook with pictures of our Christmas, from the year we met, to this last Christmas.
The idea is to have it at hand next Christmas as a nice reminder of how we spent our past Christmas, and also how our family has changed.
Each page has a main picture in the front with the year it was taken, and the back has a few more pictures with a little comment about that Christmas.
I had fun going through those pictures and remembering each Christmas, and I am happy that next year I will just have to pick up this swatchbook and I will be able to remember each of our Christmases and I am sure it will be fun for our children to see how they have changed through the years!
You can see a preview of the whole project here.
You can do something like this remembering Easter through the years, or Valentines, or birthdays...
Wouldn't this be such a cute and thoughtful gift for your spouse on your 10 yrs wedding anniversary? It could be your anniversaries through the years!
I have so many ideas of memories that can be brought to life through a swatchbook, just stay tuned, and I will post them as I go!

Are you a cat lover?

If you know me, if you really really know me, then you must know that I am a cat lover. I have taken care of hundreds of cats during the course of my life
I cannot possibly count the times my mom would scream at me for bringing home yet another cat in desperate need.
I cannot blame her, in fact, I would take such good care of these cats, that not only would they survive, but they would thrive, and pretty much start a tribe at our home and property.
What can I say... I loved them, and they loved me! I had to leave 20 cats when I came here to America, and I still miss them and dream of them...
I have many stories I could tell you about them, and probably will, little by little, share all that they have thought me...
While we don't have cats in our home(YET), I always think of them, so you can imagine how much I fell in love with this swatch book template when I discovered it in the template gallery.

Click here to see a preview of the whole template, you'll get a kick out of it!

I think it would make a perfect gift for an animal lover like me!
You can bring your favorite pet with you everywhere you go!

I miss my cats so much that I have decided to give away a swatch book credit to a real cat lover.
Leave a comment telling me about your cat(s), and why you think he/she/ they deserve(s) to be on a swatch book.
The most touching/funny/crazy story about your cats that I will receive before Christmas, will be the one that will make someone a proud cat  swatch book owner.
Start going down memory lane, while going through those pictures of your best friend, I am sure you will find the perfect story to share with us!^_^

Early bird madness!

Ok, so my kids woke me up EARLY, very EARLY this morning, and I decided that since I am up, I would do something crazy!
I have available some swatch book credit coupons to be used by the end of this year, so I decided to give them away!
The first 5 people to make an order by today at 2 p.m. EST, will receive a free swatch book credit coupon!!!
I will also trow a family fold credit coupon in for anybody that has never received something free from me!
And if I get enough orders in, there might be even more surprises!
How about that!
You may want to hurry, it doesn't happen every day that I am this crazy!!^_^*
Remember, today is the last day to take advantage of the calendar sale, the cookbook/planner sale and/or the swatch book sale, but you can also decide to take advantage of the ongoing package deals, or get just about anything you like!
Remember, when you make an order you are purchasing credits, which are like gift cards, and are valid for a whole year, up to 2 years from the date of purchase, so you take advantage of the sale now and take all the time you need to create your projects!
You can use these credits as gifts for the person in your family that takes tons of pictures and hasn't done anything with them yet, or that likes scrapbooking and could use a less messy, less expensive, faster and easier alternative. You can create the projects for them or just give them to credits and let them do what they want with them!
You can't beat that!
What are you waiting? Contact me right now!

* offer valid for USA, APO and CANADA addresses only.
* credit coupons must be used within 30 days. shipping not included

You better "swatch" out!

It's BLACK FRIDAY!!!
This year I am not going crazy looking for Black Friday deals. I am staying home, enjoying my pumpkin cheesecake for breakfast, and relaxing with my family.

But just in case you feel like you have to get at least one GREAT deal, I have one for you, and you don't even need to get in line, or risk your life because some crazy person has to have that deal no matter what.
I have showed you the swatch book in a couple previous posts, and if you liked the idea, you might like this cyber weekend deal:

It's never too early ...

...or too late to help your children remember each of their family members and how much they mean to them!
I have been pretty sick this week, I still am, but I just couldn't stand not being able to work at any project, so I decided to go for something simple.
I looked in the template gallery, and I found the perfect template for a swatch book for my sweet Luca.
He is 14 months old, and I think he is ready to start learning about his closest family members, both the ones who live here in America and the Italian ones who are living in England.
The template I found  was so perfect I didn't have to change much: it took more time to decide which pictures I wanted to use than to actually create the swatch book!

There are pictures of when he was born, pictures of his mamma and daddy, his brothers, his nana and granddaddy, his great grandparents, his nonna Rita, and also his nonno Oreste, (he will never meet him in this life, but I know he met him before coming here on earth, and he will meet him after this life), and then there are pictures of cousins and aunts.

I am really proud of the final result, and I know I will enjoy countless moments going through this swatch book with my boy, and also having to ask his brothers to bring it back;)
Not to count the fact that I have been able to produce something even if I was so sick I couldn't think!

Thank goodness for templates that help me feel accomplished no matter what!
